Canopy | Gainesville Apartment Review

When I visited Canopy apartments I was immediately impressed by all of their amenities. On my tour I got to see a group of residents playing on their golf simulator in the club house, which I definitely want to go back to and play. The clubhouse also had a full sized kitchen with refreshments, tanning booths, and a HUGE indoor basketball court, all for the residents. The gym had almost every machine I could imagine, and there was a computer lab room where you could study or use the printers.

Then there was the pool! They called it their “zero-entry lagoon style pool” and it was one of the coolest pools I’ve ever seen. There were tons of people at the pool laying out, hanging in the hammocks, and grilling burgers. The leasing agent told me that there was community wide Wi-Fi, meaning you could use your laptop in the clubhouse, by the pool, or in your apartment.

The model was so beautifully decorated, and I loved the floor plans. The rooms were big and open and the closets could actually fit all of my clothes! I really liked the furniture package because not only was the furniture very new and modern looking, but it was also comfortable.

I’m a TV junkie so I was excited when I found out that they provide a flat screen TV in the living room. Since the community is very new, all of the appliances are new, including the stainless steel side by side fridge, something you don’t see very often in college apartments. The granite countertops in the kitchens and bathrooms really gave the apartment a luxurious feeling too.

Since I don’t have a car, I was happy to hear that there were 3 different bus routes that stop by the community. They also told me about the resident activities that they hold, including Tailgator Fridays where they grill out hamburgers and hotdogs every Friday from March until late October on the patio. They also hold poker games, basketball and volleyball tournaments, and study break sessions.
