Do you own, lease, or manage any of the apartments on your site?
No. We are completely independent from every property you see listed here. We don't own them, we don't lease them, and we don't manage them. We're a local housing guide — our only job is helping you find the right place.
Is it free to use?
Yes, completely free for students. The apartment communities pay to be listed and marketed on our site. You never pay for anything.
What happens after I fill out a form?
Your information goes directly to the property you selected. You can expect to hear back within 24 hours. If you don't, reach out to us and we'll follow up for you.
Who sees my information when I fill out a form?
The property you selected, and our team so we can make sure you hear back promptly. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else.
If I have a maintenance issue or a problem with my apartment, can I contact Swamp Rentals?
For anything related to your lease, unit, or property management, you'll need to contact your apartment community directly. 
How do you keep listings up to date?
We stay in regular contact with the properties we feature and update listings as information changes. If something looks off to you, DM us and we'll check on it right away.
Are you affiliated with UF or Santa Fe College?
No. Swamp Rentals is a private, independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the University of Florida or Santa Fe College.
Can parents use Swamp Rentals too?
Absolutely. A lot of parents use our site alongside their student to compare options, watch video tours, and get a feel for different neighborhoods before visiting. If you're a parent helping with the search, you're in the right place.
What if I'm not looking for a full 12-month lease?
No problem. You can filter by lease length to find apartments offering 6-month or 12-month leases near UF. Whether you need a shorter commitment or you're planning to stay the full year, the filter makes it easy to see what's available.
I haven't visited Gainesville yet. Can I still use Swamp Rentals?
