Where is the best off campus area for UF students?

Well, that's a tough question. It really depends on what you as a Gainesville resident is looking for in your new home. There are a lot of different options from cheap to upscale and near for the ability to walk to campus to further away for the quiet and less traffic. Then you have to think about individual leases, pets, parking, bus routes, etc. It can be extremely overwhelming!

That's why Swamprentals.com is a great site for those of you who aren't sure of what you want or even where to start in your search. SwampRentals offers approximately 300 search criteria in order to help you narrow down your options as much as you can so that you don't have to spend endless hours searching for a new apartment, since we all know how much fun that is! Most of the UF population is centered in the Midtown, Downtown or Sorority Row neighborhoods, also known as the Student Ghetto, since they are all so close to campus. An important factor for UF students is to be on a bus route and most of these communities near campus offer many bus stops nearby as well as the option to walk, bike, or ride a scooter to campus. Additionally, many students prefer the plethora of business on the Archer Road area in Southwest Gainesville. It makes going to Publix, Walmart, or out to socialize with friends a breeze since it's only minutes away from your apartment. Additionally, there are also a lot of bus stops along Archer Road so getting to campus shouldn't be an issue.

If you want to get started, go to our search page and take a look at the left-hand side. You will see a lot of different categories to choose from, scroll through those lists and take a look and see what pops out to you. Then choose the options that you would prefer to have in your unit or what amenities you would prefer to have in your community. Once you've chosen what you want, our website should give you a list of option which include all your requests and then you can chose from that list or further investigate by going out to those communities and physically looking yourself.
