Georgina remembers when she committed to the University of Florida and how pumped she was to be a Gator! Her freshmen year, she moved from South Florida to Gainesville and lived in an off-campus apartment she had toured that summer. She knew she wanted to live in an apartment that was close to Butler Plaza and the new and upcoming restaurants and shops, and also wanted to be close enough to campus where she could take the bus! She actually got her first job at one of the University of Florida's offices, and just before COVID, she also started a job with a property management company. That's how she got into the student housing industry!
During her time at UF and working as a leasing and marketing assistant for some of Gainesville's newest student communities, she met her boyfriend of now over 4 years! They got two weenie dogs - Benson and Piper, who are the cutest duo! She started a social media platform for them and also began managing the social media accounts for her company, quickly developing a passion for content creation and marketing.
After graduating with her bachelor's degree, she became a full-time Leasing and Marketing Manager and then soon after, started her master's degree in Mass Communications and Social Media at the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications. She wanted to gain more creative experience during her last year in Gainesville, so she joined Strike Magazine and The Agency at UF, both esteemed organizations at the school, and met talented and amazing students who share a drive for creating and putting together amazing projects.
During the end of summer 2024, Georgina moved to Orlando, Florida, and has started her full-time career in marketing! She is excited to live in such a vibrant city and be close to the parks.
