Imani Williams

Imani is a ready for the world twenty-something with a passion for unique people and places, and her career in non-profit public relations has allowed her countless experiences with both. With a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from Clark Atlanta University and a Masters' Degree in Communication from the University of Louisville, Imani has studied digital marketing and influence, always with the intention of helping others. She enjoys using her personal and social influence to advocate for others and to make connections between organizations and the communities the organizations serve.

Imani recently moved to Florida for a new job opportunity, and currently serves as the Community Resource Liaison for Lake County Schools. In this role she connects with the community through recruiting and coordinating volunteers for over 40 schools in the county.  Volunteerism and community services are part of her core values and have been an integral part of getting acclimated in a new city.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Imani is no stranger to moving to new cities. When looking for a new living spaces she looked for a safe, spacious, and dog-friendly apartment at an affordable price. She mentioned that it was important to have enough room for her dog Valentio to play and for her to have mini concerts in her apartment without disturbing the neighbors.

When Imani is not working, she is updating her blog "Christian Control Freak" where she writes her experiences and weekly inspirations to encourage others. She is also cohost of the Save the Date Podcast where she shares dating tips, advice, and stories in efforts to hopefully make the dating process a little less intimidating for the casually dating millennial.

As helping people is Imani's passion, she is excited to join the Swamp Rentals team to continue doing so. Moving can sometimes be an overwhelming experience, but she hopes to be a helpful guide to someone in search of a new living experience. As a new Florida resident, she has enjoyed exploring the city and what it has to offer and is looking forward to adding to those experiences and sharing much more.
