Nicole is a Public Relations major at the University of Florida. Before her internship at iLS network, Nicole experienced how helpful Swamp Rentals can be when searching for her first apartment near campus. Nicole shared that Swamp Rentals made it easy for her to find a home that was close to campus, in her budget, and with all the amenities she needed. With Nicole's busy college schedule, she was thankful that Swamp Rentals made her apartment search fast and easy. When Nicole met Swamp Rentals at a career fair at UF, she knew right away that she wanted to be part of the team. Nicole knows first-hand how difficult it can be to find the perfect college apartment but with convenient tools like Swamp Rentals, college life is made that much easier.
Nicole's favorite part about working with this team is the amazing creative energy and projects that she as an opportunity to work on. Nicole loves the way that Swamp Rentals assists others and believes that they have reached the era where problem solving and imagination can innovative solutions for a better lifestyle. She believes that each new project she accomplishes, as an intern is a step closer helping someone in need and is excited to make a difference by doing something she loves.
Apart from her work; Nicole loves giving back and getting involved on campus. She does monthly visits with Royal for a Reason at different hospitals in the Gainesville community. As princess Elena, she visits these facilities to bring joy to kids, with different illness, who could use some extra "Disney magic." She expressed how Project Princess UF is about bringing happiness to children who need it most. In addition, Nicole is an ambassador at the College of Journalism and Communications. She participates by guiding tours, tutoring peers in different public relations courses and takes part in the career fairs of her college. Nicole says the ambassadors are the heart of the college and are always communicating how great the J-School is at the University of Florida.
Apart from her volunteer work, Nicole also enjoys writing on her blog, Gators Go Green. A blog created to feature the variety of "green" activities at UF. She mentions how this blog features stories about UF's involvement in sustainability and provides tips on how college students can be more sustainable right on campus.
With her goal of making a mark before graduation, Nicole enjoys featuring new organizations on her Facebook page, Dare to Inspire. This Facebook page was made to create a platform where UF students could find organizations to get involved in with a better view of what each organization really stands for.
In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her friends, attending Gator games and finding new and amazing adventures to feed her spontaneous side! Nicole's personal mantra is "Aspire to inspire," and she's excited to work with the Swamp Rentals team to inspire renters and apartment communities in the Gainesville area.
