As a college student, I have a limited budget. How do I find apartments in Gainesville that won't break the bank?

As a fellow college student, I know that feeling. When you're hunting for a place to live, it can seem like some of these Gainesville apartments are asking as much as you pay in tuition. In an effort to avoid paying an arm and a leg - as well as cause you any additional stress on top of classes and extracurricular activities - we have made it super simple to find apartments in Gainesville in the price range you'd like to have. We've even created a UF cost of living guide to help students to plan and budget for college.

For starters, head on over to the SwampRentals.com homepage. You'll see on the right hand side that you have a couple of payment options: "price by room" or "price by apartment." Choose the one that you would like, and then move the slider - note that it has two ends - until you're happy with the range. After that, all you have to do is click the big, green "Find Your Apartment" button, and your search results will be narrowed down to apartments in Gainesville that fall within the price range you selected.

I know what you're thinking - how do I know what I'm getting for my money? Don't worry, I've got you. After getting your narrowed down results, you'll see a very expansive panel on the left hand side of the page. In fact, there are over 300 options for you to choose from the make sure that the Gainesville apartments you find have everything that you could want. Don't forget to check out all the advanced filters, too!

In your search, it's important to keep in mind that there are a lot of different factors that will influence how much you could pay for any of the apartments in Gainesville. A major rent raiser is the distance from either UF or Santa Fe. Fortunately, this is really easy to find out using our search though. Once you've gone to SwampRentals.com and clicked "Find Your Apartment," you'll see in the basic filters that there is an option to find "Miles to UF." Click the plus button, and you'll get the option to choose a range of .1 miles away to 10 miles away - again, remember to use both sliders!

If you're looking to find Gainesville apartments near Santa Fe, just go into the advanced filters instead. There, you'll find a tab that says "Distance to a Location." After putting in the campus address you'd like to be closest to, you can adjust the range from 0 to 30 miles away. This one only has one slider because we'll try to find you the apartments that are as close to it as possible first.

And that's really all there is to it! I suggest going through all the filter options to make sure you're getting the amenities that you need to ensure that, of all the apartments in Gainesville, your apartment is the perfect one for you, while still being within your perfect price range. I know there's one out there for you. Good luck with the hunt!
