Apartments Near Downtown Santa Fe Campus (Blount Center)

Apartments Near Downtown Santa Fe CampusGainesville student housing has always offered a variety of options for UF and Santa Fe students alike, but Santa Fe students have a new reason to get excited about living in Downtown Gainesville. The Charles L. Blount Center is a brand new 36.5 million dollar Santa Fe College building in the heart of the Downtown area. The center's goal is to provide a space for unserved communities in the North Central area of Florida. Students can complete certificate and degree programs in business and information technology and transfer students can fulfill A.A. degrees. Local businesses will also benefit with the business incubation space of SF's Center for Innovation and Economic Development.

While there are the obvious perks of living nearby the Downtown Santa Fe Campus, like walking to class or having a space to study in, there's much more that living in an apartment in Downtown Gainesville has to offer. Students can take advantage the variety of local cuisine. Whether you're craving some vegan ice cream at Karma Creme, tasty Mojo Pork tacos at Munecas, or curry chicken at Reggae Shack, you'll be right around the corner. Downtown is also the heart of Gainesville nightlife and entertainment. The Hippodrome is nearby for a night of local theatre or stop by Bo Diddley Plaza for one of the weekly community events. There are plenty of places to grab a drink at and explore, like Palomino Pool Hall, Arcade Bar, or Cry Baby's.

With this fresh addition to the Downtown area, Santa Fe students may be inclined to look for an apartment near the Blount Center. There are plenty of communities in the area with new constructions ready to offer even more options. Downtown can get crowded, so be sure to check if the apartment has parking provided. It also may be a good idea to find a place with in-unit laundry to avoid having to take your clothes to a laundry mat in town. Try finding an apartment with roommate matching to make sure you'll live with someone compatible. With the Blount Center nearby, everything you need to live, work, and play is close by.
