Rent can usually be paid one of 3 ways: check, money order, or credit/debit card. Most communities have a no cash allowed policy so been sure to plan accordingly. The majority of residents in Gainesville pay their rent by check. If you do not have checks, go to your bank and ask for a temporary check until you have a chance to order some. Online payments are also an option at a few communities. This will allow you to pay your rent with a credit or debit card. Know that this option usually comes with a fee of some sort, either a flat rate or a percentage of the payment amount. If your parents or guardian are paying your rent, this is a convenient option for them; however, they can always mail a check to the leasing office.
